I am at that point.
My brain is full. My to-do list is long, and it feels like every hour is already spoken for until I officially call it holiday.
And yet, beneath the busyness, I feel something else: completion.
The Energy of the Final Stretch
There is a natural slowing happening for many people right now. And yet, there is also a lot of frenzied energy in the air.
With that in mind, this is a gentle reminder to be mindful of what you are taking on — and how you are giving yourself space.
As the year comes to a close, I have been reflecting on a few things.
I Celebrated
Leading a group of female nonprofit CEOs through a powerful, honest, and deeply human retreat.
We didn’t hide from the hard topics and allowed space to see possible ways forward.
I Learned
That how I show up — my being — matters far more than how much I do.
(If this resonates, you may also appreciate I believe this about leadership…, where I share more about what leadership truly requires.)
I Continually Practice
Asking for help.
Still. Always.
This is something I’ve written about before in I’ve got this! Why is it so hard to ask for help? — because growth often requires support.
A Skill I Have Been Developing
Translating what I sense and feel into words others can receive.
Which means… I am getting better at boundaries because I am better at specifically naming what I need.
I Am Ready For
Taking the next immediate action, even when I can’t (yet) see steps three, four, and five.
If your vision has felt uncertain at times this year, you’re not alone — When the Vision Feels Wobbly speaks directly to that in-between space.
Choosing Play
For this final stretch of the year, my intention is to show up playfully.
For my clients.
For my family.
For the people around me.
Yes, it is busy — and what is the point if it is not joyful?
This week began with nighttime sledding with my kids.
It will end with board games and probably too much hot chocolate.
And I want to celebrate you too.
Everything you have learned about yourself this year.
Every moment you chose presence over pressure.
Every way you are showing up more fully and more powerfully — even when it wasn’t perfect.
Beginning the New Year with Intention
If you are feeling the pull to begin the new year with intention, clarity, and support, I’ll be sharing more soon about ways to start 2026 grounded and aligned.
In the meantime, you can explore my coaching work if you’re ready to step into the new year supported.
Wishing you a holiday season filled with love, joy, rest, and play.
Always in your corner,
Megan
